Nicholas Mannings aka Daus Daudiomechanic has been in love with music for 26 years.  He started rapping on tracks at the age of fourteen. His favorite artists was Rza the leader of Wu-Tang Clan. His rap flow resembles their rap style with deep metaphors that excite the mind.

Nicholas was then introduced to the keyboard and he fell in love. He started making tracks on a Korg triton with the floppy disk. Years later he is still into music and wanting to become a producer someday. He wants to help mold music into whatever the entity desires. Stay motivated.

Hello everyone, here is my piece called “The Beginning”. This was my first recorded session. I wanted to have something that was easy to listen to. Soft sounds with a simple kick and snare. I like how it escalates on bar seventeen which gives the track more feeling.

The rhythm was based on how I speak on tracks not to slow not too fast. The bass follows the harmony, melody and kick. The first sixteen bars the bass has a gritty feel to it and then it changes to a slow groove.

The harmony gave the song an uplifting feeling in both parts of this piece. Bar one to sixteen was a softer type of harmony. Bar seventeen to thirty-two was louder and more powerful expression. As goes the melody it complimented the harmony in both moods of the track.

The audio is my voice quoting one of my best friends lyrics Carlos Johnson aka Triphe rest in power my brother. The two synths was created from scratch. I was going for a string sound for the harmony in the second half of this piece. Next, I wanted a stretched bell sound for the melody. Finally, in the sampler I used a cat sound and chopped it up. It sounds off but I though it was kind of unique.

I used time-based effects of the harmony and melody tracks. I want I to sound like a church chorus with a R&B type of vibe. I also used dynamic effects on the snare to give it more of a pop from the EQ. I thank you all for listening to “The Beginning”.
